Study tour - New projects in Riga

For Forum participants - free of charge!

Mežaparka Rezidences, Kokneses prospekts 1a, Riga
    www.mezaparks.lv
One of the largest projects in Riga. In the area of 31 ha between the quiet Kokneses Avenue and the busy Gustava Zemgala Alley is emerging a superior quality living space that integrates a modern city infrastructure within a picturesque rural environment. The project will produce luxurious detached houses, twin houses, row houses and low-rise buildings with premium and medium class apartments, as well as an office building. Homes for around 200 families are to be built under the project in total.

    Blue Bird, Tirgoņu 4, Riga

Detman‘s house is located on 4 Tirgoņu Street, in the very heart of Old Riga – Dome Square. Tirgoņu Street is one of the oldest streets in the city, as the mention of it appears for the first time in writings of 1333, moreover, its name has not changed since then, it always has remained Merchant Street. The luxurious house with abundance of sculptures on its facade, erected in 1901, was the most beautiful and most expensive building in Riga at that time.Detman‘s house was among buildings pioneering the Art Nouveau style in Riga.In 70-80-ies of the 20th century, the building hosted one of the most popular Riga cafés – the Blue Bird.

    Riverside Residence, Ogļu 32, Riga
    www.kipsalahome.lv

Riverside Residence is located in a cosy and green part of Ķīpsala Island on the bank of the Daugava River. Ķīpsala is situated in the middle of the river, opposite the Old Town, the port, and the Presidential Castle. At the same time, it is the quietest and a pacifying place in the very centre of Riga. The project with an inner courtyard garden and parking consists of 11 high-class apartments and a single-family private house. The area of the apartments is from 80 to 140 sq. m, the area of the family house is 180 sq. m. Currently, after the completion of construction, the project consists of an ensemble of buildings: a 4-storey building in the Art Nouveau style (architect Mārtiņš Ņukša); a 3-storey building (replicating the architecture of the 19th century); a 2-storey detached single-family house in the courtyard (modern architecture of the 21st century). The project is a game between architectures of different centuries, an excellent play of contrasting opposites.

    Slokas 31, Slokas 31, Riga
    www.slokas31.lv

A master piece by the famous architect Konstantīns Pēkšēns, an Art Nouveaupearl set in one of
the most beautiful, most demanded and greenest neighbourhoods of Riga – Āgenskalns. In 2017, the apartment house is reborn in a new quality, merging the historic with the modern.
